I have been asking God for manifestation of Spiritual Gifts. 1 Corinthians 14:1 (AMP) EAGERLY PURSUE and seek to acquire [this] love [make it your aim, your great quest]; and earnestly desire and cultivate the spiritual endowments (gifts), especially that you may prophesy (interpret the divine will and purpose in inspired preaching and teaching). They manifest as we pray. 1 Corinthians 12:8-10 (MEV) To one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom, to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, 10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues. Word of Wisdom Word of Knowledge Discerning of Spirits Gifts of healings Gift of Faith Working of Miracles Different Kinds of Tongues Interpretation of Tongues Prophecy This happens on Sundays some, but understand that for it to happen, you have to pray. What happens is many times spontaneous, in that I literally get up there after P&W and the Holy Spirit just takes me over with what I NEVER planned or thought of. When I pray for people, it is the Word of Knowledge I get. I usually don’t remember what I said or prayed. It rises from my spirit, not from my head. Be careful not to mimic what I do. This kind of ministry does not come from natural knowledge, but from the Holy Spirit via the Word of Knowledge. If I say something, and it does not agree with you, just forget it. Don’t try to pray for people the way I do unless you’ve put the prayer time in. If you get a word from me from the Lord, only accept it if it agrees with your own heart. I can miss it. Again, be very careful in seeking to pray with people the way I do. These things will increase. These manifestations must be balanced with time preaching and teaching. People will come to see a manifestation of the Holy Spirit, but we must be balanced. Kenneth Hagin 1980’s Manifestation one night – teaching the next. We need the Holy Spirit in these strange times! He brings refreshing! You cannot turn this on and off at will. 1 Corinthians 12:11 (MEV) But that one and very same Spirit works all these, dividing to each one individually as He wills. 1 Corinthians 12:4-7 (MEV) There are various gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 There are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. 6 There are various operations, but it is the same God who operates all of them in all people. 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to everyone for the common good. When the Holy Spirit manifests this way, I teach with a prophetic anointing. It is not prepared and is spontaneous. It is geared to the audience present. It flows almost without thinking. Pray for God to manifest spiritual gifts in the body of Christ, and in our services.
