Healing Belongs To You In Christ! (part 1)

Refuse Fear!

Introduction

What two things go together in the following scriptures?

Acts 10:38 – NKJV

How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

Psalms 103:1-4 (NKJV)

Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! (2) Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: (3) Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, (4) Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,

Matthew 9:1-8 (NLT)

Jesus climbed into a boat and went back across the lake to his own town. (2) Some people brought to him a paralyzed man on a mat. Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralyzed man, “Be encouraged, my child! Your sins are forgiven.” (3) But some of the teachers of religious law said to themselves, “That’s blasphemy! Does he think he’s God?” (4) Jesus knew what they were thinking, so he asked them, “Why do you have such evil thoughts in your hearts? (5) Is it easier to say ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or ‘Stand up and walk’? (6) So I will prove to you that the Son of Man has the authority on earth to forgive sins.” Then Jesus turned to the paralyzed man and said, “Stand up, pick up your mat, and go home!” (7) And the man jumped up and went home! (8) Fear swept through the crowd as they saw this happen. And they praised God for giving humans such authority.

God wants us to walk in Divine health. It is made available by faith in the sacrifice of Jesus at Calvary.

Many churches do not teach and preach about healing because they do not know about it. The church I was raised in NEVER taught about God’s healing power, so I had no faith in God for healing.

I heard – Sometimes God says yes, sometimes no, and many times nothing, in answer to prayers for healing. Lord, if it be thy will was the normal verbiage. So, I had no faith for healing.

To receive healing from Jesus, and to walk in health, here are four points as we begin this series.

1. Deal with fear.

There is an epidemic of fear today that in my opinion is stronger than the actual Covid-19 epidemic!

People have allowed a fear to grip their lives that is close to being a supernatural fear, in that common sense and reason as well as science has been set aside. Fear has taken center stage!

Proverbs 29:25 (NKJV) The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD shall be safe.

Definition – Snare

Strongs # 4170. מוֹקֵשׁ môqêš; or מֹקֵשׁ moqesh; from 3369; a noose (for catching animals) (literally or figuratively): by implication, a hook (for the nose): — be ensnared, snared), a trap.

Bait, lure, snare.

A snare is a trap! Fear is a trap intended to remove you from faith in God!

The fear of man is a cause of danger: but whoever puts his faith in the Lord will have a safe place on high.

Fear and intimidation is a trap that holds you back. But when you place your confidence in the Lord, you will be seated in the high place.

Don’t fall into the trap of being a coward— trust the LORD, and you will be safe.

Job’s troubles started with fear.

Job 3:25 (NKJV)

For the thing I greatly feared has come upon me, And what I dreaded has happened to me.

Job 3:25 (ESV)

For the thing that I fear comes upon me, and what I dread befalls me.

Job 3:25 (NCV)

Everything I feared and dreaded has happened to me.

Job 3:25 (NLT)

What I always feared has happened to me. What I dreaded has come true.

Job 3:25-26 (BBE)

For I have a fear and it comes on me, and my heart is greatly troubled. 26 I have no peace, no quiet, and no rest; nothing but pain comes on me.

Job opened his life to the adversary by yielding to fear.

Fear is a spiritual force that must be resisted!

What kind of fears are you dealing with right now in your life?

God wants to help you to neutralize every single fear that is seeking to ensnare your life and your freedom!

There is a spirit of fear that has been unleashed on the world, and we should stand up and resist it!

Listen to the Apostle Paul’s encouragement to us to deal with fear:

2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

2 Timothy 1:7 (BBE)

For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of self-control.

2 Timothy 1:7 (CEV)

God’s Spirit doesn’t make cowards out of us. The Spirit gives us power, love, and self-control.

In the days prior to Jesus’ return, He said that fear will grip the world.

Luke 21:25-26 (NKJV)

And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; (26) men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

We must learn to resist the spirit of fear that is gripping the world. That fear is part of the antiChrist scheme to enslave the masses of people in the world.

This so-called pandemic is fueled by the spirit of fear all across the world. It is motivated by the news media, by social media, by Federal, State and local governments, and by every person who chooses to listen to them and tell others.

I have researched both sides of the equation on this pandemic. I have listen to many hours of videos, and read many articles on both sides of public thought about it.

Here is what I have come to – we have been lied to – the facts of science simply do not line up with how this virus is being treated worldwide.

God made our bodies with an immune system that fights off sickness. Our bodies are made to LIVE and NOT die!

I was afraid of sickness most of my early life as a child and teenager.

Fear of sickness ruled me!

Palm reader told me I would die young!

When I gave my life to Jesus and began to get into the Word, that fear of sickness left me. I absolutely refuse to fear now.

With the Covid 19 – I refuse the fear generated by the media about it. The information is distorted. It is designed to produce fear and a calculated response.

I have been amazed at the level of fear among God’s people today!

Identify your fears. Death? Sickness? Relationship pain? Accidents? Flying? Covid-19?

Until you face it, it will rule your life!

Psalms 91:5-12 (NIV)

You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, (6) nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. (7) A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. 8 You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. (9) If you say, “The LORD is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling, (10) no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. (11) For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; (12) they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

Action Points:

1. Make a choice to stand against fear in your life.

2. Make a choice to replace what you hear in the media with the facts of God’s word!

3. Trust God to take care of you, period! Make positive statements of faith about your life and your health!

4. Stop and pray for people who are bound by fear today. God needs you to be His hands
