January 23, 2022 A Solid Foundation Your foundation will determine your future! 1.23.2022 Your foundation will determine your future! Do you have a solid conviction that, regardless of what happens, you will make it through it? Are you spiritually, mentally, and physically prepared for huge challenges that upset routine? You can weather any storm or test when you align your thoughts, values and lifestyle with God and His Word. Isaiah 33:6 (NKJV) Wisdom and knowledge will be the stability of your times, and the strength of salvation; The fear of the LORD is His treasure. Is your life built on a solid foundation? What do you fall back on and believe about your life and circumstances when things get tough? Is your life foundation sand or stone? Is what you believe about your life and circumstances shifty like sand and unable to bear the weight of challenge? Or is what you believe about your life and circumstances like stone or rock and does not change with circumstances? Our building – the foundation of the exterior walls is several feet deep and contains concrete and rebar. Solid! Matthew 7:24-27 (NLT) Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. 25 Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock. 26 But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. 27 When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash.” Are you able to discern the truth from lying and deception? Deception is the first indicator that times have changed and we are entering into the days before Christ’s return: Matthew 24:3-4 (TPT) Later, when they arrived at the Mount of Olives, his disciples came privately to where he was sitting and said, “Tell us, when will these things happen? And what supernatural sign should we expect to signal your coming and the completion of this age?” 4 Jesus answered, “At that time deception will run rampant. So beware that you are not fooled! 1 Timothy 4:1-2 (TPT) The Holy Spirit has explicitly revealed: At the end of this age, many will depart from the true faith one after another, devoting themselves to spirits of deception and following demon-inspired revelations and theories. 2 Hypocritical liars will deceive many, and their consciences won’t bother them at all! 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 (NLT) This man will come to do the work of Satan with counterfeit power and signs and miracles. 10 He will use every kind of evil deception to fool those on their way to destruction, because they refuse to love and accept the truth that would save them. 11 So God will cause them to be greatly deceived, and they will believe these lies. 12 Then they will be condemned for enjoying evil rather than believing the truth. Are you prepared to resist deception and resist the rule of the antiChrist that will seek to dominate the world economically, politically, and spiritually? From scripture, I do not believe that the rapture of the church is going to whisk us away before what is called the tribulation begins. The first part of the tribulation is the rise of the antiChrist and the persecution of believers. The last part of this 7 year period is called the day of the Lord and this is when God’s wrath begins. Nobody, I mean nobody wants to be here when God’s wrath falls. If you are not born again, you will be here. We will see the rise of antiChrist. One of his main traits is deception. Daniel 8:25 (NLT) He will be a master of deception and will become arrogant; he will destroy many without warning. He will even take on the Prince of princes in battle, but he will be broken, though not by human power. 1 John 2:21-23 (NLT) So I am writing to you not because you don’t know the truth but because you know the difference between truth and lies. (22) And who is a liar? Anyone who says that Jesus is not the Christ. Anyone who denies the Father and the Son is an antichrist. (23) Anyone who denies the Son doesn’t have the Father, either. But anyone who acknowledges the Son has the Father also. 1 John 4:1-6 (MEV) Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. (2) This is how you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, (3) and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and is already in the world. (4) You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. (5) They are of the world, and therefore they speak from the world, and the world listens to them. (6) We are of God, and whoever knows God listens to us. Whoever is not of God does not listen to us. This is how we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error. Isaiah 5:20 (NKJV) Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! How to recognize the spirit of antiChrist: A loss of personal freedom Abortion Same sex marriage Transgender rights and sexual orientation rights Pornography Living together without marriage Relative values Socialism Communism Overbearing government control Atheism Lawlessness Fear Godlessness Amorality Divisiveness Inequality Rioting Violence Division Racism World wide law codes adopted by all nations. World wide currency No borders between nations We are living in a strange time where what is true is twisted. Many Christians will fall for the deceptions that arise. Many have lost spiritual ground in the last two years! 1 Timothy 4:1-2 (Passion Translation) The Holy Spirit has explicitly revealed: At the end of this age, many will depart from the true faith one after another, devoting themselves to spirits of deception and following demon-inspired revelations and theories. 2 Hypocritical liars will deceive many, and their consciences won’t bother them at all! If you do not stand for faith and truth, you can easily fall into fear and believe anything you hear. When was the last time you heard something that you know is false? If it is not really recent, like today or yesterday, you are probably a person vulnerable to being deceived. This is not just with spiritual things. This is stuff you hear in the world all around us. The spirit of antiChrist is setting the stage for the world to be controlled. Misinformation abounds! 2 Timothy 4:1-4 (Passion Translation) Timothy, in the presence of our great God and our Lord Jesus Christ, the One who is destined to judge both the living and the dead by the revelation of his kingdom—I solemnly instruct you to 2 proclaim the Word of God and stand upon it no matter what! Rise to the occasion and preach when it is convenient and when it is not. Preach in the full expression of the Holy Spirit —with wisdom and patience as you instruct and teach the people. 3 For the time is coming when they will no longer listen and respond to the healing words of truth because they will become selfish and proud. They will seek out teachers with soothing words that line up with their desires, saying just what they want to hear. 4 They will close their ears to the truth and believe nothing but fables and myths. So, are you going to stand strong as a believer when it is not convenient? Are you going to stand strong when it goes cross grain to what is popular? It will come quickly. Are you willing to be persecuted for what you believe? Today is a day to weigh what you hear in a balance against the Word of God. It is amazing to me that in this age of technological advancement, we are potentially more deceived than ever. If you believe everything you hear, you are most probably a deceived person. One thing we all can do to be free from deception is to turn off the major news outlets. They have become propaganda outlets. For instance, ALL of the news organizations have built in biases. Every single one. That includes ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, FOX, and if I left out your favorite, then please include it in the list. I know this because all of them use the same phrases to explain a subject, and it becomes clear that they are parrots that just say what someone tells them they must say. Censorship is producing deception today. The social media platforms such as Facebook, Google, and Twitter have begun to censor what they do not agree with. There is a built in bias that is created to sway opinion. All of these media platforms are influenced by their owners who are influenced by major donors who have an agenda to push a narrative that moves you away from faith in God, believing God’s Word, and from embracing moral values that create a strong family unit with a male father and a female mother! We all need to keep in mind that the antiChrist spirit is at work worldwide right now, preparing the world for the rise of this leader in the Middle East that will be the opposite of all things Christian, and will promote anarchy and lawlessness on a worldwide scale. What we have seen all over America in the recent past with the rioting, looting, thugary, pulling down of statues, and demanding that the police force resign or scale down in a major way is driven by a central scheme to destabilize the nations of the world. These things are intended to condition a nation to forsake its past and accept a worldwide system of law and governance. This is driven by organizations with a lot of money (the love of which is the root of all evil). This my friends is a planned deception on a wide scale. The only way to keep from being mentally controlled by all of this is to be a person whose mind and heart is saturated in the Word of God, and who knows the Holy Spirit very well. Demonic forces are working today to separate people from truth. They seek to twist the truth and turn people from the path of right living. How to keep from from being deceived: Here’s the way to stay with the Spirit of God, and to stay safely in the protection and care that the Father has for you during this time. It’s really simple. Obey the Word! Don’t just listen to it or read it. Make sure your lifestyle lines up with what God says you are to be – mentally, emotionally, physically, relationally, and spiritually. The previous verses reveal that doctrines of demons will urge people to turn away from the faith, and only hear what pleases them. k, when I hear the truth of the Word, but the Word disagrees with what I feel like doing or want to do at the moment, or the Word disagrees with what is popular in culture right now, and I ignore the Word and act on my feelings or on the demands of the culture around me, then I actually open myself up to demonic deception! So, how do we deal with today’s pressures and the crazy week to week changes that are occurring? Stay with God’s Word! Ask yourself throughout every day, what does the Bible say about this? 2 Timothy 3:10-17 (NLT) But you, Timothy, certainly know what I teach, and how I live, and what my purpose in life is. You know my faith, my patience, my love, and my endurance. 11 You know how much persecution and suffering I have endured. You know all about how I was persecuted in Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra—but the Lord rescued me from all of it. 12 Yes, and everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. 13 But evil people and impostors will flourish. They will deceive others and will kthemselves be deceived. 14 But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught. You know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you. 15 You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. 17 God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16 (NKJV) All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, Deciding to be conscious of the Word will activate the Holy Spirit inside of you! 1 John 2:20 (NLT) But you are not like that, for the Holy One has given you His Spirit, and all of you know the truth. 1 John 2:27 (TPT) 27 But the wonderful anointing you have received from God is so much greater than their deception and now lives in you. There’s no need for anyone to keep teaching you. His anointing teaches you all that you need to know, for it will lead you into truth, not a counterfeit. So just as the anointing has taught you, remain in Him. Action Points: 1. Do you have scripture memorized that yu can easily bring to mind when challenges come? 2. Are you acquainted enough with scripture that you can easily detect information that is false? 3. Are you willing to say and do what is unpopular?
